Portals
A portal is a help centre on the desk where requesters pick what they need, fill in a short form for it, and later follow their requests. Each portal uses its unit's branding. You manage portals under Settings → Portals.
A portal doesn't have forms of its own. You build forms once under Forms, and a portal shows them in its categories. The same form can be on several portals and on your website at once. The form decides which unit its cases go to and what it asks. The portal decides where the form appears and what its front page looks like.
Creating a portal
- Choose New portal.
- Fill in its Name, Address and Unit (below).
- Pick Create portal to open the editor.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Name | Shown in the browser tab, and on the portal's card in the list. |
| Address | The part after /p/, so help gives https://support.example.com/p/help. It's suggested from the name. Lowercase letters, digits and dashes, 2 to 60 characters, and unique on the whole desk. |
| Unit | The portal uses its brand, and it can show forms whose cases go to this unit or any unit below it. |
The list of portals shows each one's address, unit, number of forms and whether it's Live or Off.
The editor has six tabs, Front page, Categories, Appearance, Protection, Address and Submissions, and a Live preview next to them with EN, NO, SV and DA to see each language. Unsaved changes are included in the preview. Open portal opens the real page.
[!IMPORTANT] Changes on Front page, Appearance, Protection and Address are saved with Save changes in the bar at the bottom. Changes on Categories are saved as you make them.
