What we keep when you ask for an ITSM Engine licence key, and why.

Who we are

ITSM Engine is made by NiceLab AS, Norway (nicelab.no). NiceLab is the controller for the licence register described here.

What we keep

When you ask for a licence key on this site, we keep in our licence register:

  • your organization's name, your name and your email address;
  • the key we sent you, its id, what it allows and when it was issued;
  • whether you asked for security notices, and when.

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person is filling it in. We don't keep your IP address; it is used only for a short-lived limit on how many keys can be asked for.

Why

  • To email you the key, and send it again if you lose it.
  • To know which organizations use ITSM Engine, and how many installations there are.
  • If you said yes, to tell you about security updates. You can stop these at any time.

We don't sell or share the register, and we don't send marketing.

Your desk

Your ITSM Engine installation checks its key on your own server and never calls home. If your admin turns on the optional daily check-in, the desk sends us only a fingerprint of its key and its version number, nothing about your cases or people.

How long

We keep the register for as long as a key is in use. Ask us to delete your details at any time; your installation keeps working.

Your rights

You can see, correct or delete what we hold about you, and object to its use: write to [email protected]. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection authority.
