Front page and categories

Front page

On Front page you choose what requesters see first. Under Header, per language:

SettingWhat it is
HeadlineThe large title. Without one, the portal says "How can we help?" in the visitor's language.
Welcome textA line or two under the headline.
Search boxSearches the forms by title, description and category. It shows once the portal has more than three forms.

English is used for any language you leave empty, so write English first. A dot on a language tab means it has text. The portal shows the visitor's browser language if it's one of the four, and English otherwise; a link with ?locale=no (or en, sv, da) picks one.

Under the header lists the blocks of the page. Turn each one on or off, and use the arrows to put them in the order requesters see them:

BlockWhat it showsAt first
Notice bannerA message per language, for planned maintenance or holiday hours. Clear it to remove the banner. On
PopularUp to six forms you tick, first, so the common requests are one click away.Off
CategoriesThe categories and their forms. Show as Sections with their forms lists each category with its forms. Tiles that open a page each shows one tile per category, which opens a page with its forms. Every category, or turn it off and tick the ones to show. On, sections
My requestsA signed-in requester's five latest requests, with See all. Others get a sign-in link.Off
Plugin pagesThe pages plugins add, like Service status and Your services, as tiles. They are in the portal's top bar either way.Off

The blocks that are on at first give the same page as a portal had before you could choose. A category you leave off the front page still has its own page, and its forms are still found by search.

Categories and forms

On Categories you arrange what requesters choose from. Categories group forms, such as "Billing" or "Account".

  • Add a category (or Add category): a Title and optional Description per language, and an Icon picked from a set of line icons (or the default). The … menu on a category has New form here, Edit category, Move up, Move down and Delete. Deleting a category takes its forms off the portal; the forms stay under Settings → Forms, and their cases stay.
  • Add forms on a category lists the forms that may go there: those whose cases go to the portal's unit or a unit below it, and that aren't on this portal yet. Tick one or more and choose Add form. A form is on a portal once, in one category.
  • New form here creates a form and puts it in the category. Give it a Name, which is also its title on the portal, and the Unit its cases go to. It opens in Settings → Forms, where you build its questions. Back to the portal brings you back.

Forms in a category

Each form in a category shows its title, how many fields it has, where its cases go and its priority. The arrows change the order within the category. Its … menu has:

Menu itemWhat it does
Edit formOpens it in Settings → Forms.
Hide on this portal (or Show on this portal)Hides it here without taking it off. Hidden ones are marked Hidden. A form that is turned off under Forms is marked Form off and isn't shown on any portal.
Move toMoves it to another category.
Remove from portalTakes it off this portal. The form and its cases stay.

What a form asks, its title and icon on portals, the unit its cases go to, their priority, labels and assignee are set on the form, under Forms. The form asks for a name and an email address first, unless the contact is signed in. With Service Configuration on, a Service field lets a signed-in contact pick the service the request is about.

Next to the form, the portal shows What happens next: they get a reference number, the reply comes by email, and the link in the email follows the request. The form's page has crumbs back to the front page and to its category.

[!NOTE] Categories without any shown forms don't appear in the portal.
