Submission log, turning off and deleting
Submission log
The Submissions tab lists every attempt, newest first: When, Result, Channel (browser or server), Address and Origin. An accepted one links to its case; a refused one shows why. Refused submissions are logged without their content. Filter with All, Accepted and Refused, and pick Refresh for new lines. Housekeeping can remove old lines.
The reasons you'll see most:
| Reason | What it means |
|---|---|
| form disabled, form paused | The form is turned off, or paused by its hourly cap. |
| browser mode disabled, server mode disabled | The request came in a way the form doesn't accept. |
| origin not allowed | A browser request from a website that isn't under Allowed websites. |
| turnstile missing, turnstile failed | The bot check wasn't done or failed. |
| spam detected, too fast | The honeypot was filled in, or the form was sent faster than the minimum time. |
| start token invalid, start token expired, start token used | The page wasn't loaded properly, was open for more than a day, or sent 5 requests already. |
| signature missing, signature invalid, timestamp expired, signature replayed | A server request without a valid signature, with an old timestamp, or one that was already received. |
| bearer not allowed, invalid key | A bearer key where only signatures are accepted, or a wrong key. |
| ip not allowed | A server request from an address outside the allowlist. |
| rate limited | Too many attempts from one address. |
| validation failed | A required answer was missing or an answer had the wrong form. |
| sign in required, not a known contact | Refused by the unit's rules for who may submit. |
Rejections are logged up to 30 per address and form in 10 minutes; a flood of bad requests beyond that is refused without filling the log.
Turning a form off
Turn off the switch in the editor's header (it reads Accepting requests when on, Turned off when off) and save. The form refuses new requests at once with "This form is not accepting requests right now.", and the snippet shows that message on your site. Portals stop showing it, and mark it Form off in their editor. Its cases, settings and log stay. Turn the switch on again and save to reopen it.
Deleting a form
Delete in the editor's header removes the form after you confirm.
[!NOTE] Its cases always stay.
- A form that never received a case is deleted, with its secrets and submission log. The snippet on your site stops working, and it's taken off every portal it was on.
- A form that has cases is turned off instead, as if you had turned off the switch, so its cases keep their link to it. The confirmation says so.
